Exfoliating your face

By gently scrubbing your skin with exfoliating agents, you will remove the surface layer of dead cells. Fine lines will be less visible and your complexion will look brighter.

I love to use the Neutrogena wave
at least once a week to exfoliate my
face. I remember the first time I used
it. My face felt so soft! I liked it so
much that when my Mom came to
visit me I used it on her and she went
out and bought one the next day!

Another Product I like to use is
Oil Of Olay Daily Facials, It cleans
your face while gently exfoliating at the
same time. Its great to take all of your makeup off.

Eyeshadow Primers

Eyeshadow Primers

Have you ever gone to work with makeup on and after a few hours you look
at yourself in the mirror and see that your eyeshadows have all creased
and your eyeshadows are all one muddy color now?
Well with an eyeshadow primer on your lid that wouldn't have happened. There are
many different ones on the market, from really inexpensive ones to really pricey ones.

Now I have not tried any of the inexpensive ones YET but I soon will and will give you my opinion
but for now I'll just show you what I know of that's out there.

Elf eyeshadow primers are around $3.00
everyone on YouTube seems to only say
great things about it. So for me
it's a definite must try.

Nyx HD Eyeshadow base is $9.99
Read a lot of reviews on this one as well and a lot of people enjoy it.

Also Loreal has one that I have not been able to find yet called L'Oreal
De-Crease Eye Shadow Base. This one goes
for around $7.99. The reviews I have read aren't
all that great but what doesn't work for some might
work for you.

This Urban decay eyeshadow primer makes your eyeshadows last all day, makes the colors brighter, and all that with no creasing!
Apply it to your lid just a small amount will go a long way , then apply your eyeshadows as usual, it drys fast so you have to make sure to work it in quick but once the silicone based primer is on, your eyes turn silky and smooth.
I got it at Sephora for about $20.00 plus taxes.Went home and used it
and it does as its advertised. It's one of my favorite eyeshadow primers now.

MAC Paint Pot

Mac Paint Pots work great as Eyeshadow primers too.
They are dryer then UDPP, you  just have to work
with it a little bit faster. They come in all sorts of colors and
if you wanted to use it as a primer and not a creme eyeshadow
I would choose one that's closest to your skin tone.
They go for around $20.00 plus taxes.
A little goes a long way, you will have it for a long time and
it works really well!

Here are some swatches

Concealer review

Dermablend smooth indulgence concealer

I have used this concealer for over a year now and still
have some in the tube. I really love it. I'm not a fan of the
price which is around $21.00 (U.S) but to be honest it has
lasted me a long time and it really conceals my dark under eye circles.
Its really creamy and blends really nicely into my skin.
I also have the setting powder and according to them it
also makes the concealer and foundations that they also sell
waterproof. They say it stays on for up to 12 hours of wear (16 hours of wear with
Setting Powder).

Inexpensive products to help eyeshadows stick

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on eyeshadow
primers you can take the inexpensive route and use
cream eye shadows. Here are some examples of some
that I like to use.

Nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencils, Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows.
Rimmel Eyeful Eye Glisteners.

The Nyx Jumbo eyeshadow pencils are $4.99
and you can get them in Canada at Save on foods
they will show you whats closest to your location.
Or you can get them online and they ship from Canada for
Canadian customers so you don't have to pay a lot for shipping
if you were trying to get it from the states.

Here are some swatches of a few that I own and
what they look like when you blend them.

The Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows you can find
at most drugstores and walmarts. price in Canadian is
around $9.00 or so plus the taxes, don't forget with
this one you get 4 creme shadows so the price in
my opinion is fair.

Rimmel Eyeful Eye Glisteners go for around
$9.00 each little more than the others I mentioned
but all do the same job. They work as great bases
for your powdered eyeshadows to stick to.

How to use them, just apply a little bit to your
eyelid and blend it in then apply your eyeshadows as you normally would.

Color Correctors

Color Correctors
Ever been in the makeup section and there near the concealers is what looks to be a green lipstick?
haha! It's actually a color corrector. If you apply
that green over red spots on your face that
you don't want to be red the green will Cancel
out the red. They also have a yellow that cancels out purple and orange aka Salmon color corrector that cancels out Blue ( usually used for under eye circles). Don't worry when you apply them on
your face they don't show up as green or yellow! They blend in nicely, then you can just finish your makeup as usual foundation, etc. The way to use the color wheel is to look at the problem colors below ( Blue,Purple,Red) and straight across from the
color you want to fix is the corrector color. Green
cancels Red, Yellow cancels purple, and Orange cancels blue.
